# Create FAQ

POST https://api.gorilladash.com/api/v1/website-content/websites/%7BWEBSITE_ID%7D/faqs
Content-Type: application/json

Creates a faq. Needs a key with **Website Content: Read and Write** (`website-content:write`).

| Field | Type | Rules |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `faq_category_id` | integer | Required. An FAQ category of this website. |
| `question` | string | Required, max 5000. |
| `answer` | string\|null | HTML, max 100,000. |
| `slug` | string\|null | Max 255, `^[A-Za-z0-9]+(?:[-_][A-Za-z0-9]+)*$`. Defaults to the slug of the question. |
| `sort` | integer | 0–1,000,000. |

If a faq with the same **slug** already exists, this returns **422**. Use **Upsert FAQ** when you do not know whether it exists.
