# Create Redirect

POST https://api.gorilladash.com/api/v1/website-content/websites/%7BWEBSITE_ID%7D/redirects
Content-Type: application/json

Creates a redirect. Needs a key with **Website Content: Read and Write** (`website-content:write`).

| Field | Type | Rules |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `from` | string | Required, max 255. A path starting with `/`, with no spaces. |
| `to` | string | Required, max 255. A path starting with a single `/`, or an absolute `http://` or `https://` URL. `javascript:`, `ftp://` and `//host` are refused. |

If a redirect with the same **from** already exists, this returns **422**. Use **Upsert Redirect** when you do not know whether it exists.
